Self-important filmmaker Monty Zuchard, hoping to expose the bad art that he feels stifles true creativity, makes a documentary about a struggling two-man band called The Beverages, without letting them know they are the object of his scorn. The two musicians gamely allow the camera to follow them around, and Zuchard learns that art is in the eye -- and ear -- of the beholder.
